Update MDL.V Rare Earth Need to Know

There comes a time when an opportunity to gamble somewhat resembles an investment... In the gold and silver market, there are more contenders than you can shake a stick at, and gold and silver, though hard to find in economical grades and commercial size with a feasibility road map.. has some good prospects, but the landscape is so large as to the selection of issues for taking a position in any individual stock... the money is definitely spread around as in an investor resource finding a home... making for agonizing appreciation.

In Rare Earths this is not the case...  there are are only a few real contenders, and rare earth has only a few real locations that can produce the size and grade for commercial economics...

After having a look at the field chartwise and considering basic projects... along with potential exuberance... I'm not advocating a position, but what's 1000 shares at this point... MDL.V is the only #1 management with Micky Fulp speak... and is still under a dollar with all other peers in the $1.50 ... $5.00 and $6.00 range...

REE's MDL.V

I have been looking for a speculative story REE stock, and the one that stands out is MDL.V....

It is consolidating a small gain, and a buy in the mid . .40's to very low .50's is my target, and depending on the look of the chart at that time...  would be from my perspective a good place to start accumulating if the price should make it's way there in the next while... in the same breath, this has been so volatile that it could also go the other way unannounced.

Distribution

As yesterday... distribution is heavy on the open with little, if any opens at, or above the close of yesterday in a high percentage of my Level II watch and it is substantial. Chasing will be very dangerous, and costly for most .... buying on the lower end of a lower bollinger touch or support is the strategy... control risk to minmize loss and maximize any gain... both the TSE and Venture are under pressure this morning with the Venture under heavy assult..

Update GQC.V

A quick review of the trading history suggests that the majority of the early warrant exercise shares are still out there... 8 million plus.... so expect a rush in the next 2 weeks as retail moves out of the stock into what they percieve as better options, and the last minute warrants pile drive... Seems the logical human reaction.

Buy TME.V .34 to .39 cents

For a low risk entry into a good story stock with NI-43-101 support.

TME.V has had a bit of a dip to support along the 200 day average...  Definitely by any standard used to evaluate gold issues selling for twice to three times as much... TME is undervalued, and should see a move up from this level IMOP.

Another company is called Temex Resources Corp. (TSX.V:TME; FSE:TQ1). All of its properties are along the Abitibi Greenstone Belt in Ontario. The company has an NI 43-101 resource of about 1.2 Moz. from surface in an area called Shining Tree. With 1.2 Moz., I think Canaccord has said an ounce in the ground should be valued at about $100; Temex is trading at a market cap of about $40 million. So this company should be trading three times that, particularly considering its location. Temex also has a 60% (and Goldcorp a 40%) interest in the past-producing, high-grade Hallnor Mine near Timmins, Ontario. The company has a lot of money in the bank, and it should be able to post plenty of good news throughout 2011.

ADX Trader Gallery

I have been putting uptrending stocks (and there is more of them than I could possibly cover) into a new page that can be called up from the sidebar 3rd position in the list... I'll be adding about twice as many charts as I have in there already... Uranium, Gold, Silver, Iron, REE's etc.

I do a lot of surfing the touts.. and there will be many notable issues... the problem with touts is that there is more stocks being touted than there are investors to take positions in those stocks, and some stories attract better than others... and some touts have a more loyal following...

If you use the gallery... after a while I'm sure you will become quite fluent in reading the ADX Study for yourself... having said that... the value in the Gallery will be the ease of access, and present a large group of potential stocks for 2011 that we can chart the ups, and downs, or swing from them ...

The first day of trading on the fourth of January 2011 on my watch was for the most part a distribution day... however, there were a lot of eager buyers... I have created some very extensive Level II watch lists, and from those lists there are some good looking up and comers in the mix... a couple that have been introduced to the gallery already ... over the next week or two I will be adding and commenting chartwise... some observations, that will be for me as much as any interested party... after all this is an online diary.

Western Potash ADX Chart Study

This issue technically charts as of today, as likely entering a consolidation stage.... Level II analysis demonstrates a large ask concentration starting at the @ $1.15 through to $1.20.... the reason I bring this chart to your attention is that with the known short as of Dec 15th 2010 it may be possible to chart a consolidation with advantage. The new short report will be out soon and it would be interesting to know if it is covering. If you mouse over the lower chart and mouse wheel (or extend the period) the chart you will see the dip coincides with the increasing short as of DEC 15, 2010 and the price is now moving as if it is in a cover.

The short history as of Dec 15th has been increasing adding additional selling pressure. Short selling in the volume demonstrated, is not commonly retail investor oriented and suggests institutional participation likely to do with the recent financing..... shorting can lock in profits and diminish risk...a touch of death spiral not out of control.

Possibly there is retail effort in there as well as a recent General News release painted a bearish picture for most potash issues, and in this case it appears that WPX.V  was unable to get the original bought deal financing amount being applied for.... which was 40 million and they closed only half that... such a scenario could draw in shorters from the retail crowd. If this is so, then the fact they got 20 million is bullish and with new money it may seperate them from the rest... so if it is out with the bash wash... it may be unjustified.

The share structure is reasonable with about 104 million out not accounting for dilution.... a reverse split is not in order considering the recent financing....

Western Potash Corp. Closes $20,000,200 Bought Deal Private Placement

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (Business Wire) -- Western Potash Corp. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:WPX) is pleased to announce that it has closed its previously announced private placement bought deal offering. The Company sold 18,182,000 units (the "Units") at a price of $1.10 per Unit, for aggregate gross proceeds to the Company of $20,000,200 (the “Offering”).
Each Unit consists of one common share in the capital of the Company (each a "Common Share") and one-half of one Common Share purchase warrant (each whole Common Share purchase warrant, a "Warrant"). Each Warrant shall entitle the holder to purchase one Common Share of the Company at an exercise price of $1.75 at any time up to and including the close of business on June 21, 2013, being the day which is 30 months from the closing of the Offering. All securities issued under the Offering are subject to a hold period ending April 22, 2011.
The Offering was underwritten by a syndicate of underwriters co-led by Mackie Research Capital Corporation and Scotia Capital Inc. (collectively, the “Underwriters”)
The net proceeds received by the Company from the sale of the Units will be used to advance the Company's Milestone Potash Development Project located in the Province of Saskatchewan, and for general working capital purposes.
In consideration for their services, the Underwriters have received a cash commission of 6.0% of the aggregate gross proceeds of the Offering. In addition, the Underwriters received an aggregate of 1,272,740 non-transferable Common Share purchase warrants (the “Compensation Warrants”) each exercisable to acquire one Unit at a price of $1.10 per Compensation Warrant at any time up to and including the close of business on June 21, 2013, being the day which is 30 months from the closing of the Offering.
