Is one of the few technically positioned stocks that could buck any correction the market could throw us...

The bottom pattern is strong and recent volume surges have produced a breakout at .92 cents just above the 200 day average. Changes to annotations on the Public List shortly.

At this point it is hard to say if the Markets will continue to distribute and double top if the price regains the old high under pressure from spooked investors, and the coming tax selling days in weeks of December.

I will not be doing much new buys unless the price is at a price that is really low to a relative high.

The issue must have some strong speculation. More thoughts later.

Level II

A sea of red with only a couple of stocks holding and 1 that has gained... If this keeps up, and it may likely today and Wednesday... have been over the last few weeks a heavy distribution days... lack of bulls could make areas of support bear bait.

Correction

this is just a quick update... most of what happens is always hindsight. Pre-trading WAS DECIDEDLY BEARISH... a lot of support that normally moves on the open has been pulled in many issues in the Level II platform... for the moment ...any buy signals that would normally be acted on as a back fill should be viewed with caution... both the toronto and Venture opened below the yesterdays close (a gap down) with candles in a Stockcharts candle view breaking the 20day average. We need to recover and move up over the 20 day average very quickl;y...

Historical Studies of Good, Bad and Ugly Pump

Chosen are three different sector stocks that have had their turn at being extremely overbought in relation to their actual fundamental value. They demonstrate that there is an underlying current that is not obvious and does not always move to the tune of the news releases. Their price moves on sentiment (fear and greed) and is deeply related to broad market trending in that particular sector.

All of these stocks have had heavy promotion. Some actually have strong speculative considerations.

Trading Tips

Chart School for Public List

Breakouts break the following rules... If a stock breaks out, bollinger tags or touches are ..NOT.. tops or bottoms. However:

If a stock is ranging..., Bollinger touches are..., in most cases, a top or bottom that is consistent. Bottom touch (bullish)

Top touch (bearish)

If a stock is down trending... a sell the top strategy (shorting)... Upper bollinger touch is adopted.

If a stock is uptrending... a buy the dip strategy...Lower bollinger Touch is adopted.

If a stock is ranging..., Price breaking through a top or a bottom bollinger line..., is a top or bottom signal to trade (most times) in or out. We look for up side trend breakouts to hold.

If volume is up...breakouts can be runaway in either direction.

There's the conundrum... look to supporting volume and supporting indicators to make the sell or buy decision.

We like to position for long holds off of lower bollinger dip picking entries, if possible.

We buy pullbacks (bottom pick) or catch dips in rising trends and continuations. Continuations emerge out of studies that are at first glance looking like tops.... Only rising trends produce new highs mistaken for tops. Dip picking starts there.

Keep in mind Small Caps tend to be either over-bought or over-sold. Volatility plays a part. Look for some kind of solid quality in the chosen stock. They chart and respond to technical analysis better. Quality protects from fraudulent issues. No guarantees though.
