Update VMS,V

VMS.V was .66 cents as of the previous post... it popped to .82 cents as of this post... ... I think long term it will continue... but if it closes up... it is well out of the upper bollinger... if it opens high tomorrow outside the bollinger it is my opinion you're looking at a near term top... that may move to the side and down over a bit of time...

Historical Studies of Good, Bad and Ugly Pump

Chosen are three different sector stocks that have had their turn at being extremely overbought in relation to their actual fundamental value. They demonstrate that there is an underlying current that is not obvious and does not always move to the tune of the news releases. Their price moves on sentiment (fear and greed) and is deeply related to broad market trending in that particular sector.

Trading Tips

Chart School for Public List

Breakouts break the following rules... If a stock breaks out, bollinger tags or touches are ..NOT.. tops or bottoms. However:

If a stock is ranging..., Bollinger touches are..., in most cases, a top or bottom that is consistent. Bottom touch (bullish)

Top touch (bearish)

If a stock is down trending... a sell the top strategy (shorting)... Upper bollinger touch is adopted.

If a stock is uptrending... a buy the dip strategy...Lower bollinger Touch is adopted.

If a stock is ranging..., Price breaking through a top or a bottom bollinger line..., is a top or bottom signal to trade (most times) in or out. We look for up side trend breakouts to hold.

If volume is up...breakouts can be runaway in either direction.

There's the conundrum... look to supporting volume and supporting indicators to make the sell or buy decision.

We like to position for long holds off of lower bollinger dip picking entries, if possible.

We buy pullbacks (bottom pick) or catch dips in rising trends and continuations. Continuations emerge out of studies that are at first glance looking like tops.... Only rising trends produce new highs mistaken for tops. Dip picking starts there.

Keep in mind Small Caps tend to be either over-bought or over-sold. Volatility plays a part. Look for some kind of solid quality in the chosen stock. They chart and respond to technical analysis better. Quality protects from fraudulent issues. No guarantees though.

(here's the confusing part)............ the "Create a link" pop up window has found your blog, and is linking to your blog or blogs, which should be listed in the upper right corner) such that you can NOW create the "commentary post" for your blog right in the "Create a Link" pop up window... then and there.... You can change the heading, adjust the font, re-word the link display text, and then make the commentary for the "commentary post" within the pop up window, and when you publish the pop up window... it posts your "commentary post" to your own blog/blogs with a link back... to the post you were viewing.... that's it.
